A college dropout accepts an invitation to join an elite secret society but quickly discovers their mission is less charitable than expected.
Set in Philadelphia, present day, Chase Benjamin arrives at the lodge of a prestigious Black secret society named The Sacred Order of Bucks. Upon passing a "racial credit check," he's granted entry into the building and is greeted by his friend and sponsor who invited him to join the fraternity. While Chase tries to keep a low profile, his attempts to blend in are continually thwarted by the organization's hostile and close-minded members. When finally confronted by the gatekeeping leader, Chase will have to choose between embracing respectability politics and his dignity.
